Celebrating Polish Easter with crafts. Part of World of Cultures Auckland Festival 2024.

Design your own Polish Easter egg in this creative workshop for ages 7 to adult.

Create a colourful Easter Palm from paper. What is smigus-dyngus? It’s something fun!

Watch an educational presentation to find out about Polish Easter traditions.

Enjoy the Easter displays within the museum, then take home your own unique Easter craft work.

All children to be accompanied by an adult please.

Cost $10.00 per person, including adults. Materials are provided.

Discover Hidden Treasures Craft Workshop. Archaeology Week.

Discover an Iron Age lake fort, Vikings and the hidden jewels of an emperor in Poland.

Poland has a long and rich history of fossils and artefacts buried in its rich multi-cultural heritage. Learn how some fascinating discoveries were made by ordinary people. See a re-created open air working museum in the slideshow presentation. Then construct your own craft work treasures to take home.

Ages 5-adult (All children are to be accompanied by an adult please).

Cost: $10 per person, including adults. Materials provided. Cash or internet banking (sorry no Eftpos or credit card).

Poles at Monte Cassino – 80 Years exhibition.
May 12 @ 12:00 pm – May 19 @ 5:00 pm

Many of the Polish children of Pahiatua’s relatives fought alongside other Allies in the Battle of Monte Cassino in Italy. Polish Forces eventually captured the strategic hill on 18 May 1943, after heavy casualties, with over one thousand killed and three thousand wounded.

Exhibition on from May 12-19th at the Polish Museum, 125 Elliot St, Howick. Open hours are Tue-Fri 10am-4pm and Sun 12pm-5pm. Casual entry is by donation. A small fee applies for groups – please contact Polish Museum staff to arrange your group visit. Ph 533 3530 or Email: phtmuseum@outlook.com
